Central Coast Mariners Take Proactive Step for Skin Health with Australian Skin Cancer Foundation

On Monday, February 24th, the Central Coast Mariners took an important step in promoting player health by participating in a skin check event hosted by the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation. The Foundation's Skin Check Truck made a special visit to the Mariners' training grounds, where players and coaching staff underwent professional skin screenings.

With the region's high sun exposure, skin cancer prevention is critical, and the Mariners took the opportunity to raise awareness among their players and the community about the importance of regular skin checks. The event was part of the Australian Skin Cancer Foundations ongoing mission to educate the public about skin health and early detection of skin cancer, which can significantly improve outcomes.

In an effort to extend this vital message to their supporters, the Mariners have partnered with the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation for an additional event. The Skin Check Truck will be present at the Double Header game at Industree Group Stadium on Friday, February 28th, providing free skin checks to fans attending the match. This initiative gives supporters the chance to get checked for any early signs of skin cancer while enjoying the exciting action of the Mariners' home games.
