Australian Skin Cancer Foundation visits Parliament House Canberra
Australian Skin Cancer Foundation board members, Dave Kelly, Ashleigh Piek, Eve Brown and Jay Allen OAM went to the “Parliamentary Friends of Melanoma and Skin Cancer” event in Canberra this month.
It was an initiative aimed at raising awareness for melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers and reducing the impact of it within Australia, as well as a clear message of #GetASkinCheck.
It was led by our politicians, Federal Education Minister Jason Clare, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, National MP Darren Chester, and survivors who drove home the messages that early detection and regular skin checks is key. We were very honoured to be invited.
A special day to be a part of and we cannot wait to get started on our skin check bus and work together to help put an end to Australia’s National Cancer!!
